Meet the Doctor

Dr. Sandra Thore’s journey into dentistry began with a childhood fascination for the precision, instruments, and technology she saw in the dental office. What started as curiosity soon became a lifelong calling: helping people feel healthier, more comfortable, and more confident in their smiles.

After earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1988, Dr. Thore made Raleigh her professional home. She began practicing in the area in 1990 and has now spent more than 35 years caring for individuals and families throughout the community.

Over the years, many of her patients have become familiar faces, trusted friends, and even multiple generations of the same family. For Dr. Thore, these lasting relationships are among the most meaningful parts of being a dentist. She takes the time to listen, understand each patient’s concerns, and explain treatment options clearly so that every person feels respected and confident in their care.

As the owner of Falls Family Dental, Dr. Thore has created a practice centered on compassion, honesty, and personalized attention. She believes excellent dentistry is not simply about treating a dental condition—it is about caring for the person behind the smile.

A Commitment to Lifelong Learning

Dr. Thore remains dedicated to advancing her knowledge through continuing education and modern clinical training. She has pursued advanced education in cosmetic dentistry, including veneers, as well as the diagnosis and management of TMJ disorders, jaw discomfort, and related conditions.

Her commitment to lifelong learning allows her to combine decades of clinical experience with current dental techniques, technology, and evidence-based care. Whether she is helping a patient maintain a healthy smile, restore damaged teeth, or improve the appearance of their smile, Dr. Thore approaches every treatment with precision and thoughtful attention to detail.

Leadership and Community Involvement

Dr. Thore is a past president of the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society and has long been an advocate for dental education. She helped support the establishment and promotion of the Dental Hygiene Program at Wake Technical Community College, reflecting her belief that strong education is essential to the future of the dental profession and the health of the community.

She is also a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.

Beyond Dentistry

Outside the office, Dr. Thore enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys playing golf and tennis, staying active, and appreciating the North Raleigh community she has proudly served for more than three decades.
