Meet the Doctor

For more than 35 years, Dr. Sandra Thore has been dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate dental care to individuals and families throughout the Raleigh community. Since beginning her practice in the area in 1990, she has built long-lasting relationships with generations of patients by combining clinical excellence with honest communication and a gentle approach. As the owner of Falls Family Dental, Dr. Thore believes every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and confident about their treatment decisions.

A Lifelong Passion for Dentistry

Dr. Thore’s interest in dentistry began during childhood when she became fascinated by the instruments and technology used in a dental office. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for helping people improve their oral health and smile with confidence. Today, she continues to enjoy building personal relationships with her patients and helping them achieve healthy, lasting smiles through individualized care.

Education and Continuing Education

Dr. Thore earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1988. After dental school, she completed additional training in Raleigh under the mentorship of Dr. Sonny Weeks and Dr. Don Brown, strengthening her clinical knowledge and expanding her experience in comprehensive dental care.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Thore regularly participates in continuing education to remain current with advances in dentistry. She has pursued advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, including veneers, as well as the diagnosis and management of TMJ disorders and jaw pain. This ongoing education allows her to provide modern, evidence-based treatment while maintaining the personalized care her patients have trusted for decades.

Professional Leadership and Community Involvement

Dr. Thore is a Past President of the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society, where she helped establish and promote the Dental Hygiene Program at Wake Technical Community College. She continues to support dental hygiene and dental assisting education because she believes well-trained dental professionals play an important role in improving the oral health of the community.
She is also an active member of the:

• North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS)

Beyond the Dental Office

When she is away from the office, Dr. Thore enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also stays active by playing golf and tennis and appreciates the opportunity to enjoy the North Raleigh community she has proudly served for more than three decades.
